Hi.. thank you for having us …
TELL US ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM/ PROJECT?
Sure… Our new album unSOUND is out worldwide the 23’th of August on Limited edition yellow vinyl, and on all Streaming platforms. It’s a 9 track album and we have already gotten splendid reviews from all over the world..
WHAT INSPIRED ANY CENTRAL THEMES ON THE ALBUM?
Unsound inspiration takes off i the world today, with our latest album ‘Noise Pollution’ we started writing realism songs about people's feelings, the world we live in and what we are going to our self… The new album ‘unSOUND’ we kept the wheels on that road, and we kinda like kept going in that direction, the album includes everything from modern love songs to more realistic aimed hard rock tunes..
HOW LONG DID YOU SPEND RECORDING?
Well we started out in 2017 in Medley Studio with a 3 day session… later on we did another week session in Tube IT - Studio finishing the record, so guess we used about 3 weeks with mix and master..
HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT THE SONGWRITING PROCESS?
Usually it's our vocalist Henrik who comes up with the ideas for the songs, and the we take the tunes to jam on, to get the right feeling and momentum in the Riff’s and Grooves lettings things come together with the melodies, witch is a big part of our music.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE TRACK FROM THE ALBUM?
Well we have a new single out this friday called “LOADED GUN”, it’s quite a personal song, since it’s about a friend who lived his life way to fast, and ended up killing himself, it's a hard rock tune with a very old school heavy riff but with a twist, you should check it out..
WHO ARE YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES?
We have a lot of influences when looking back at the 90’s scene, there where a lot of open sounding records, and that's where we found a lot of inspiration for the sound on the new album, we think there is too much pressure on modern metal sound today, makes your ears bleed… and people tend to stop listening to the music caused by the pressure of the Lufs sound… that's where we went in another direction with ‘unSOUND’. Bands who influences us thru time is bands like Queens of the stone age, Alice in chains, fu manchu, clutch and Sonic youth.
HOW DID YOU FORM THE BAND?
We started out late 2011, it was Henrik and Lars that came up with the idea for Black Income, we wanted to play good and real rock music with melodic focus on the melodies…. we wanted a more Punk approach on the way we play riff’s, so that's when we started recording our debut album in 2013, this was the start of us developing our unique sound that everyone seems to be so fund on. We keep evolving as a band, and we have a lot of new stuff in the pipeline.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ANYONE STARTING OUT?
Best advice is to believe in yourself, no matter what people tells you…. don't take NO for a answer.. keep developing your art… stay focused and help each other in the band reach the goals you set..
WHAT IS NEXT?
The next thing is release gig followed by a tour in 2020… this winter we plan to start recording album 3, and we hope have it out start 2020.
