TELL US ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM/ PROJECT?
Right now we're in the midst of writing our 3rd studio album. We have no name for it and all the songs a named "New Song" all the way to "New New New New Song". But we're very excited to start recording them, Naming them, And getting them into your ears!
WHAT INSPIRED ANY CENTRAL THEMES ON THE ALBUM?
It comes from a wide variety of things, From falling in love, To heartbreaks, Being in toxic relationships, Just needing to get away from it all, And sometimes the 1st world problems of the music scene.
HOW LONG DID YOU SPEND RECORDING?
Our last album took about 5 mths from tracking to the final product. It was a lot of late nights and work. but we were happy with the final product and hope it only gets better from here!
HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT THE SONGWRITING PROCESS?
The process is pretty straight forward. We come up with a riff, Verse, and/or a chorus and we build upon that. Each of us writing our own parts and changing them with the feedback from the others. It's painstaking at times but its what we love to do.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE TRACK FROM THE ALBUM?
We love all our songs pretty much equally, but I think one that stands out for us would have to be "Simon" or " Lights Too Loud". They bring out our energy and we love playing them live.
WHO ARE YOUR BIGGEST INFLUENCES?
We all grew up listening to a lot of the same bands like Blink 182, New Found Glory, Sum 41, etc... but we each draw from different bands. the biggest influences for each band member would be:
Jeff - Against Me!
Jason -Amber Pacific
Thomas-Foo Fighters
Ryan- Bouncing Souls
HOW DID YOU FORM THE BAND?
Jeff and Ryan were in a previous band called W!ndslow. After they broke up Jeff got really bored and somehow convinced Ryan to start a new band with him. soon after that, an ad was posted on Kijiji which Jason replied to. and not long after that Thomas Responded to another ad on Kijiji. We've been an item ever since.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ANYONE STARTING OUT?
Choose something else!!! Lol Nawh. If you want to do it, do it! JUST DO IT! Play, Practice, And write as much as you can. always try to better yourself and challenge yourself musically whenever you can. but most of all, love what you do. that should always be the number one thing. Because if your heart isn't in you can hear it!.
WHAT IS NEXT?
our next step is hopefully to finish our next album, do a Canadian, and European tour.
