Jessica Lynn Releases Single 'I Never Said It’d Be Easy': A Powerful Ode to Perseverance and Self-Discovery
New York-based country crossover star Jessica Lynn has unveiled her brand-new single, 'I Never Said It’d Be Easy'. This track, drawn from her forthcoming album set for release in 2025, highlights Jessica’s exceptional songwriting talent, her collaboration with other gifted artists, and her legendary performance energy and skill. The song underscores Jessica’s unique ability to extract genuine, heartfelt lyrics and insights from her own experiences, infusing them with her signature sass and powerful voice. As Jessica openly acknowledges, her career has never been easy, but this song stands as an anthem of self-discovery and resilience.
Jessica says “This song is very special to me because it speaks on the journey of living life to the fullest and creating a happy path for yourself .I co-wrote this track with two of my favorite writers and good friends in Belgium, Guy Balbaert and Tom Lodewyckx, with whom I have written many songs throughout my career, such as 'Crazy Idea' and 'After Party.' We have such great chemistry together, and I really value their input and talent. It’s always a joy to create with them."
‘Crazy Idea’ was my first-ever charting song on country radio. It was a release that helped push my music to new heights, so it feels like a full-circle moment to release a song with my friends with this message.
This year has been quite a challenge for Jessica. In January, she had a major sinus surgery (after dealing with many health issues this past year) and it was a complicated recovery. A song about positivity and hope for a wonderful future is something Jessica feels very proud to sing while embarking on one of her busiest years yet.
Despite all the year’s obstacles and challenges, Jessica has continued to surge forward in her career and musical journey. The last few months have been festooned with red carpets and high-profile events, not to mention celebrity encounters and collaborations and a high-profile tour with country legend Jo Dee Messina.
The last few months have also seen Jessica getting a lot of high-profile press exposure (e.g. from People Magazine and Getty Images). Muscle and Fitness Magazine, one of the largest fitness magazines in the US, featured Jessica in their Athletes & Celebrities section, running a fascinating article on how Jessica physically and mentally prepares for the demands of her world touring.
Live performance and touring are both Jessica Lynn’s fortes. 2024 has been a year in which she’s expanded her range and scope, going out on the road with many shows in several different countries. “We will tour 7 countries this year,” says Jessica, “and are on the road essentially from May 31st to Christmas Eve! “My Christmas Tour made history this year and we are going from 7 shows last year to 14 this year, with the tour and brand growing astronomically.”
Jessica has also signed a contract with Armed Forces Entertainment, so will now be travelling to provide entertainment to the military as well.
No-one ever said it would be easy, but Jessica Lynn continues to climb onwards and upwards. No wonder she’s been called “a rocket force”!
