I'm Kade Storm, and I run my own solo project that tends to fall under the Black Metal genre with some Doom Metal and Death Metal elements.
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW ALBUM OR SINGLE?
At the close of April, I released a digital LP titled Ascension. It's a 43 minute long, full-length Blackened Doom Metal album comprised of three very long tracks.
WHAT INSPIRED THE ALBUM OR SINGLE?
An amalgamation of personal experiences paired with material that I tend to read.
CAN YOU SUM UP THE ALBUM IN A FEW WORDS?
It's dark, heavy and atmospheric music.
WHAT RECORD CHANGED YOUR LIFE AND WHY?
I think I'd be doing this question and a lot of records injustice by just naming one or a handful when the influence is far too broad. I've been influenced by a lot of heavy and bleak music with most of it largely from the Extreme Metal umbrella.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE MUSIC VIDEO FILMED BY YOUR BAND OR ANOTHER ARTIST?
No music video of my own, but I'd say that Behemoth's music video for Messe Noire is quite formidable, given the theme of the song.
WHAT WOULD WE FIND YOU DOING WHEN YOU'RE NOT MAKING MUSIC?
Contemplating certain ideas and concepts while trying to avoid agonising over something trivial.
DO YOU GET NERVOUS PERFORMING LIVE, IF SO HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THAT?
Not in past endeavors, but under this project, I do not perform live.
HOW DID YOU FORM THE BAND?
I had ideas and felt that a solo project was a straight and unhindered path to realising that vision.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Travesties, arduous events, or, even compelling reading material.
WHAT IS NEXT?
For now, I'm just looking to promote this album and its upcoming physical release via Narcoleptica Productions.
