Rise Against return with their first new music in three years. Out now on Loma Vista Recordings, 'Nod' is a rally cry and call to action, fuelled by compassion, camaraderie and the collective urge for change. “Nod is about the solace we find in community,” says lead vocalist and lyricist Tim McIlrath. “It’s about the comfort in knowing that we are not alone. This comfort can temper our anger and our frustration, at least temporarily.”

Produced by Catherine Marks (Boygenius, Foals, Manchester Orchestra, St. Vincent) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers), “Nod” serves as a searing statement of intent, arriving at the outset of Rise Against’s inspired next chapter. Just as the stakes could not be higher, the Chicago punk rock band is back bigger, louder and more progressive than ever, imploring listeners to replace reactions with action. “I swear to God this can’t wait,” Tim McIlrath proclaims at the top of the song’s chorus. “Not one more minute, one more day.” Now is the time to resist the constant stimuli that stokes division: stop lashing out, start joining together to consider who benefits from our blind anger. “Are you saving the world so desperately, or are you holding a gun demanding peace,” he asks in the second verse. “Because the line that is drawn between nightmares and dreams is thin like a razor, and we’re fast asleep.”

With their moving collaboration featuring Carrie Underwood, “Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark)” still picking up massive streams worldwide – nearly 200 million and counting – now Papa Roach has released a brand new single “Even If It Kills Me” via their own label New Noize Records/ADA.

“Even If It Kills Me” is a welcome return to the band’s alternative hard-rock roots which debuted live last night at the band’s last-minute sold-out underplay in Berlin. Today, they officially open their massive “RISE OF THE ROACH TOUR”, which now spans Europe, the UK, and two legs across North American arenas and amphitheatres, with more shows to be added soon.

The tour will see the band bring their biggest-ever production and journey deep through their vast music catalogue, including a celebration of the 25th anniversary of their iconic breakthrough album INFEST. Special Guests for the global tour include Wage War in the EU and UK and Rise Against and Underoath in the US. Tickets are on sale HERE.

The band have also charted top-15 for the first time at US Hot AC, with the evergreen “Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark)” with duet partner Carrie Underwood. Last week, the track and campaign were recognized in the 2025 Clio Music Awards, where it received a Bronze award in the category of Social Good.

British blues-rock sensation Joanne Shaw Taylor has announced the upcoming release of her highly anticipated 10th studio album, Black & Gold, arriving June 6th via Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records. Reuniting with iconic producer Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Journey, Joe Bonamassa), the album showcases Taylor’s bold creativity, blending blues-rock with influences from Americana, indie rock, and retro ‘80s pop. Black & Gold offers a captivating mix of heart-wrenching ballads and hard-hitting rock tracks that redefine the boundaries of blues music.

Joanne shares about her latest single “Grayer Shade Of Blue,” “This story is a personal one to me. Since this is my 10th studio album and I’m going into a fresh decade's worth of recording, I decided I wanted to use some of my writing on this album to put to bed something that has been bothering me. This song is about a close friendship I had for over a decade that ended suddenly. I’ve never known why. The person just stopped communicating with me, which understandably has made me very sad. This song was my attempt to give myself some closure on the situation as evidently, none will; be given to me otherwise. I love how it turned out and I’m very happy now to close that chapter in my life but still be able to cherish memories."

Discussing the monthly new release strategy, she explains, “This approach allows me a bit more creative freedom compared to releasing a full album and then going quiet for months or even years. With music constantly coming out, I feel a bit less judged; if I want to write a bit more of a pop song, but you know weeks later, there might be a blues song."

Black & Gold delves into the intricacies of human connection, resilience, and self-discovery, capturing the highs and lows of life with raw authenticity. The album balances deeply personal reflections with universal themes, exploring heartbreak, empowerment, and the bittersweet nature of change. Musically, it pushes the boundaries of blues-rock, blending Taylor’s soulful guitar work and powerhouse vocals with influences ranging from Americana to retro pop. With its rich emotional depth and dynamic soundscapes, Black & Gold is a compelling journey through the complexities of modern life, delivered with the fearless innovation that has become Joanne Shaw Taylor’s hallmark.
