Will shares his personal connection to the album: "With Blues Is Still Alive I wanted to prove that the blues is as relevant today as it's ever been. When it comes to the blues, I don't like to mess around with the formula too much; I don't think there's anything wrong with playing a straight-up 12 bar, but you have to MEAN IT! There are a lot of blues artists who just imitate what has gone before and don't have anything new to say, so with this album it was important to me to put my own stamp on the blues and bring something new to the genre, whilst still remaining authentic to its long-standing traditions."

The album features a stellar backing band, including the seasoned talents of Steve Rushton (Imelda May, Jeff Beck) on drums, Greg Coulson (Greg Coulson Band, Spiritualized, Morcheeba) on keys, Bobby Harrison (Cliff Richard, Brit Floyd) on guitar, and Russell Carr (Skin, The Blockheads) on bass. Together, they create a rhythm section that grooves hard, setting the stage for Will's electrifying harmonica to soar.

Speaking about the track, Will says "Learn How To Love is a high energy blues shuffle with a dirty, sleazy feel. It's about being mistreated by a no-good woman. It features Lindsey Bonnick and Chloe Josephine of Brave Rival and my sister Dani Wilde on backing vocals. This is one of my favourite songs to play live and has one of the most hi-octane harp solo's on the album."

The album’s first single is a breathtaking collaboration with blues legend Walter Trout. The title track ‘Blues Is Still Alive’ earned runner-up in Classic Rock’s Tracks of the Week. Walter played guitar on the track and said" It was my great honour to be part of this music with the incredible Will Wilde. He's the best!”

What makes Wilde truly extraordinary is the sheer emotion and intensity he brings to his music. He transforms the harmonica into a lead guitar, pushing its boundaries with passion and technical brilliance. Often hailed as the “Hendrix of Harmonica,” Wilde’s artistry is both innovative and deeply rooted in the spirit of the blues. "I’m always looking to make new sounds with the harmonica” says Will “pushing its boundaries, trying to change people’s perception of it.”

Wilde’s fiery, heartfelt playing and unique style ensure his rise as one of the most exciting and authentic voices in modern blues.

Wilde’s talent has not gone unnoticed — he’s been nominated for two prestigious awards at this year’s UK Blues Awards: Contemporary Blues Artist Of The Year and Instrumentalist Of The Year.

Music-News raves: "It is one of the freshest sounding and most classic Blues albums I’ve heard in the last couple of years. “Classic Rock Magazine declares: "Delivers plenty of gold."

Fans won’t want to miss the chance to experience Wilde’s unforgettable live performance at his official album launch show on March 4 at the legendary 100 Club in London

As excitement builds for the March 7th theatrical release of Queen of the Ring—the highly anticipated biopic chronicling the trailblazing journey of wrestling icon Mildred Burke, written and directed by Ash Avildsen and starring Emily Bett Rickards — Sumerian Records are thrilled to release a very special collaboration between the inimitable COREY TAYLOR and BAD OMENS. The track, produced, mixed and mastered by Aaron Gilhuis, is haunting cover of the Kansas classic 'Dust in the Wind' and is featured on the official motion picture soundtrack of Queen Of The Ring (releasing via Sumerian Records on 7th March).

‘Queen of the Ring,’ written and directed by Ash Avildsen, brings to life the untold story of wrestling legend Mildred Burke, who shattered barriers in the 1930s–1950s to become the first million-dollar female athlete and headline arenas over male competitors in a time when women’s wrestling was outright banned across much of the U.S.

The film stars Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow) in a career-defining role as Burke, alongside a stellar cast featuring Josh Lucas, Walton Goggins, Gavin Casalegno, Tyler Posey and Deborah Ann Woll, with pro wrestling stars Kamille, Toni Storm, Trinity Fatu, and Jim Cornette making appearances.

With its 7th March release strategically set during for the weekend of International Women's Day, the film is an ode to inspirational, trailblazing women who defied the odds and forever changed their industries.

Formed in Minsk, Belarus, two previous album releases by alternative metal group Mission Jupiter have hinted at their potential to be one of the few acts from that territory to achieve lift-off worldwide. Having recruited powerhouse singer Kate Varsak prior to writing and recording their upcoming third album, ‘Aftermath’, the result is a set of dramatic, epic songs with thoroughly modern production values that should see them soar.

‘Self-Destruction’ has been released today as the latest single to be teased from the record. The heaviest and punchiest song by Mission Jupiter to date, the band explain that the story behind it is deeply personal and refers to a battle with mental disorder. "When you’re feeling down, it feels like the parasite living inside you has won, and you’re stuck in mental and physical discomfort forever. The only way to survive is to take a pill to ease the pain. We hope this song will resonate with our listeners on a profound level.”

’Self-Destruction’ follows the recent ‘Human Nature’, a song that Prog stated “displays the far-reaching appeal of a band who mix atmospheric prog, the darker undercurrents of Cocteau Twins and up-tempo alternative metal”, while Metal Talk described it as being “swamped by wonderful moods and melodies driven by guitarist Vlad Shvakel and drummer Eugene Zuyeu, all wrapped around a stunning female voice.”

Scheduled for release in mid-2025, ‘Aftermath' is packed with further gems. Fans of alternative and hard rock, progressive rock and metal, and even Eurovision-esque crossover rock (on ‘Jak Spyniajecca Bol’, recorded in the group’s mother tongue and translated as ‘How The Pain Stops’) will also be wowed by Mission Jupiter's new songs, which combine sounds, moods and melodies all wrapped around a stunning female voice that will leave listeners breathless!
